Week 5 blog

During this week, we had gone over both groups scripts during class in order for us to give each other constructive criticism in order to improve the scripts and finally have it completely locked so that we could begin the casting process. During the class our lecturer Yazan suggested that we have a narrator narrating the life of our main character Arthur, which would add another unique layer of comedy to the story, we all agreed that it would work and so our scriptwriter George began the process of adding that element. We have also not yet begun fundraising for our film which is a worry at this point, however, I have full belief in our producer and ourselves as a group to come up with effective suggestions to raise the budget that we would need. We have also contacted Canon through our lecturers contacts and were able to receive free equipment for our shoot which is huge as our cinematographer is very comfortable using Canon cameras as apposed to Sony, this gives me confidence in the footage I will be editing on set and post production also. Despite the previous troubles through the earlier weeks, things are beginning to look up and headed in the right direction; that being said, we still have plenty of work to do such as locking the script, floor plans, casting, crew contracts, raising a budget and securing locations. While we definitely have our work cut out for us, I believe everything will be done by week 7.
