Amanda Knox Documentary Synopsis

A young 20-year old exchange student from Seattle named Amanda knox moves to Italy for a year with one of her friends named Meredith Kercher. In search of becoming 'An Adult', she quickly finds an Italian named love interest named Raffaele whom she spends a few days with. During her stay in Italy, Amanda's life would drastically change forever after her friend Meredith was found murdered in the apartment the two were staying at. A phone call to the police by Amanda changes the course of her life as Italian authorities began to suspect her and her boyfriend Raffaele as the murderers. A few other suspects have also been in question however none was as interesting to the public as that of Amandas trial. The documentary takes us through the bone chilling on and off trials and convictions for 8 years, the several DNA tests that revealed more speculation than clarity, and all of the struggle and hurt the young couple their families, and the victims family have endured in what became an obsessive international news story talked about all over the world. The wrongful conviction challenged Amanda's faith, as she fights till the end.
